Dani Stokes

MSW, LICSWA

Hi, I’m Dani (she/her), and I work with children (ages 7+), adolescents, adults, and families. I specialize in anxiety and depression, eating disorders, grief and loss, trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, and neurodiversity. I enjoy supporting people as they develop coping skills, build self-acceptance, and learn to carry grief and healing in meaningful ways.

My Experience

My professional experience spans a wide range of settings and populations, including youth and adults in higher levels of care, children in school environments, individuals and families navigating grief, and those experiencing eating disorders. I especially enjoy working with young people as they explore self-acceptance and the many changes that come with growing and living in the world. Through this work, I have seen how deeply grief can shape our lives, and I am passionate about helping people acknowledge and make space for it.

How I Help

I strive to create a welcoming, affirming space where you can show up as your full self. I believe healing is deeply connected to community, and I work collaboratively with clients to build support in ways that feel right for them. With your guidance, I tailor therapy to your individual needs, drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), art therapy, and play therapy.

More About Me

I’m a creative at heart and love sewing, crocheting, and collecting pieces for my junk journal. I have two cats myself and a general love for all animals! When I’m not creating, you can find me roller skating, hiking, or walking my black cat. I look forward to getting to know you as you begin your therapy journey.
