Our Training Pathways
We offer multiple training levels that often build on each other, creating a natural pipeline from trainee to early-career clinician:
Pre-Master’s Training (Practicum & Internship)
For counseling, social work, and related master’s programs, our pre-masters roles are focused on counseling and intervention.
Experiences may include:
Individual counseling with children, teens, and/or adults
Co-facilitation of group therapy
Parent consultation and psychoeducation
Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team
Learning how to coordinate care with assessment providers and medication prescribers
Many of our pre-masters trainees later transition into associate-level counseling positions at Dayspring, where they can continue to grow with familiar supervisors and a supportive team.
Pre-Doctoral Training (Practicum & Pre-Internship)
Doctoral students can deepen both their assessment and therapy skills in a structured, high-support environment:
Psychometrist training and experience in neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessment
Experience administering standardized tests and assisting in report preparation
Individual and group counseling opportunities
Exposure to a broad range of developmental, learning, and mental health concerns
Collaboration with psychiatry/med management providers and other disciplines
These positions are designed to prepare you for doctoral internship and beyond, giving you a strong foundation in both assessment and intervention within a busy group practice.
Doctoral Internship & Postdoctoral Fellowship
Dayspring Behavioral Health is proud to offer both a Doctoral Internship and an Postdoctoral Fellowship.
Our APPIC-aligned programs emphasize:
High-quality clinical training and supervision
Strong assessment and intervention experience
Exposure to multidisciplinary, integrated care
A supportive environment that bridges the gap from trainee to early-career professional
Postdoctoral Fellowships
Our postdoctoral fellowships are ideal for early-career psychologists who want to build depth and confidence in:
Comprehensive neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessment
Evidence-based counseling and intervention
Group therapy and family-focused care
Interdisciplinary collaboration with prescribers and therapists
Professional development and identity as a psychologist in a group practice setting
Many postdocs go on to long-term roles at Dayspring, making this a meaningful launchpad for a sustainable and rewarding career.

Genuine enthusiasm for the helping professions
A desire to be part of a group, not working in isolation
People who naturally open doors, say hello, and interact with others
Interest and experience in working with kids and teens (definite plus)
Strong attention to detail in documentation and follow-through
Reliability: arriving on time, prepared, and ready to engage
A good attitude and optimistic outlook, even on busy days
