Madeline Alexander

Madeline earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California Lutheran University and went on to complete her Master of Arts and Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Counseling Psychology at Northwest University. She completed her doctoral internship at Southwest Behavioral and Health Services in Phoenix, Arizona, where she worked in an integrative care setting providing therapy across the lifespan.
As a post-doctoral fellow, Madeline’s primary focus is psychological assessment. Madeline has extensive experience conducting evaluations for ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, learning disorders, mood disorders, trauma, and other factors that may affect a person’s learning, relationships, or overall well-being She views assessment as a partnership, approaching each client with curiosity and respect for their cultural, family, and personal context. Her goal is to highlight strengths and offer recommendations that are clear, useful, and supportive of everyday success.
In addition to assessment, Madeline provides therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. She takes an integrative approach, drawing from her training in EMDR for trauma, the Gottman Method for couples, and trauma-informed care. She also has specialized training in sand tray therapy, which she uses to help clients of all ages explore emotions, process experiences, and express themselves in ways that words alone may not capture. Madeline’s therapeutic style is person-centered and strengths-based, grounded in the belief that each individual’s lived experience makes them unique and deserving of personalized care.
Outside of her clinical work, Madeline enjoys reading, pottery, attending sporting events, live music, and spending quality time with family and friends.
