Monica Robbins

MA, LMHCA

I am Monica Robbins, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, and I am practicing professional counseling at Dayspring Behavioral Health. I enjoy meeting with individuals of all ages. I come to Dayspring with having over 25 years of working in the mental health field in substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery. I strive to provide a safe, caring space for others to process the challenges or pain they may be experiencing. I am skilled at treating many issues including trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, ADHD, codependency, addiction and recovery, life transitions, parenting, relationships, and women’s issues.

As an ally to all, I aim to advocate for each client regardless of their beliefs, values, or lifestyles. My therapy style is casual, comfortable, and collaborative. I believe each person can overcome their perceived obstacles and learn new ways to help themselves.

My primary therapy techniques combine CBT, DBT, education, psychodynamic, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused theories.

Life is hard but there is hope. I admire the strength it takes for individuals to come into therapy, share their lives, explore their pain, and learn new tools they may need for a brighter, easier tomorrow. My goal for each client is to make this process as smooth as possible, motivate them to want to do the work- and offer them some tools that will be unique to their issues and challenges.

In my work, I will team with my clients, and with permission, their other providers, to empower them to learn as much about themselves as possible. I offer a holistic focus on all areas of a person’s life, mind, body, and spirit.

When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and pets. I love camping, gardening, cooking, crafting, and bike riding. I am involved with several groups that promote health and wellness for youth in my community.
