Natalia Garcia

Natalia Garcia, PsyD, AMFT, LMHCA, completed her doctorate in clinical psychology from Alliant International University in San Diego in May 2025. She recently held the position of Doctoral Intern and postdoctoral fellow for nearly two years at Bright Future Foundation, where she therapeutically worked with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking in Eagle County, Colorado.

Natalia earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. She has significant experience working with primarily Spanish-speaking Latinx families, children, and adolescents. Her therapeutic interventions have taken place in a variety of settings, including clients’ homes, women’s shelters, trauma-focused clinics, and a special education school for children with severe behavioral needs.

Previously, Natalia worked at New Alternatives, Inc. TBS in San Diego, where she served clients throughout the county for six years as a behavioral coach and case manager. Her clients included children who have survived trauma and abuse, those in foster care, and individuals requiring behavioral support due to mental health diagnoses.

Her areas of interest include working with victims of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, human trafficking, and child development. Natalia primarily employs psychodynamic approaches, play therapy techniques, and humanistic ideologies to inform her therapeutic style.

In her spare time, Natalia enjoys reading, watching horror films and anime, going to the movies, and participating in physical activities such as cycling, hiking, and swimming.
